Designed with innovation at the forefront, we found ways to unite Northwestern Mutual’s New York and Wisconsin offices through intricate and interactive technology.
The three-floor vertical campus is reinvented and reconstructed to meet the workplace needs of the company.
Since the New York City office did not initially have a singular space to accommodate large gatherings for the New York-based staff, we proposed opening two slabs between the three floors to construct—from the inside-out—a large town-hall style meeting space.
The three-story, multi-media space connects all the floors visually and vertically and can be used for social gatherings and informal seating.
Each of the large, open floor plates support the office’s multiple functions and programs – workstations, executive suites, meeting/conference rooms, bistros/cafes, and a wellness center.
The workstations are located along the perimeter of the building and away from the core to provide natural light and stunning 360-degree views of downtown Manhattan and the Hudson River
