Spector Group is the Executive Architect for the renovation and expansion of Brookfield Place, formally known as the World Financial Center. Combined, the Pavilion and Reconfiguration span over 300,000 square feet of reconfigured space. The redevelopment includes the Entry Pavilion, Hudson Eats and a new Retail and Dining Corridor.
The glowing glass pavilion, designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, is the heart of the entire complex. Located along West Street, across from the World Trade Center, it links the 8 million-square-foot complex with downtown’s two new mass transit hubs.
The central structure and architectural integrity of the pavilion are two 53-ft sculptural steel columns, woven to form two tree-like structures that support the roof and glass enclosure.
The pavilion, will act as the front door for the complex making the public spaces and offices more accessible to pedestrian traffic.
