The Carlyle Group relocated its New York headquarters to One Vanderbilt in midtown Manhattan. The 93-story skyscraper offers an unprecedented combination of spectacular views along with high-profile global visibility that fits seamlessly with the investment firm’s sophisticated workplace vision.
In association with HYL Architecture, we consolidated two of The Carlyle Group’s office buildings into five floors to create an elevated modern design to reinforce the company’s brand and global presence.

The office is accented with stone and glass that’s balanced with natural warm woods and custom upholstered furniture contrasting the grey stone floor that is continued through the 5-story interconnecting feature stair.
An expansive state-of-the-art conference center features 15’-0” ceiling heights with sprawling views of the Manhattan skyline, including the Chrysler and Empire State buildings. Custom polished stone conference tables are grouped with leather upholstered seating to further emphasize the company’s overall brand and aesthetic.

The shared community café, located on the middle floor, serves as the main connection point for staff and offers a broad range of interactive meeting and social environments. Glass office fronts allow daylight to successfully penetrate the interior spaces. Height adjustable desks and ergonomic seating for staff further strengthens the firm’s commitment to health, wellness, and sustainability.
