The Program

Brooklyn, NY

In the industrial heart of Greenpoint,Brooklyn, The Program stands as a bold reimagining of a former warehouse into a state-of-the-art basketball facility.

Founded by Griffin Taylor and JaredEffron and backed by strategic partners Carmelo Anthony, Sue Bird, and RocNation, The Program blends the authenticity of grassroots basketball with theresources of a professional training center, giving the next generation ofplayers the environment they need to push harder, play smarter, and claim theirplace on the court.

Industrial structure, redefined for sport and culture.

The search for a facility capable of housing a regulation-size basketball court led the team to a former warehouse on Java Street, whose expansive footprint and generous ceiling heights made it uniquely suited for the program.

Rather than conceal the building’s industrial character, the design embraces its exposed steel structure, concrete surfaces, and open span, creating an authentic backdrop rooted in Brooklyn’s manufacturing history. On the exterior, a large-scale mural by local artist Sandro “Sen2” Figueroa signals the building’s new identity and activates the street.

Layering grit with greatness.

Inside, the design layers bold graphics, vibrant color accents, and strong branding onto the warehouse’s raw bones. Polished concrete floors, black walls, and mesh ceiling details create a clean, neutral base punctuated by sculptural lighting inspired by The Program’s logo and street-inspired graphics that reflect the culture of the city game.

From warehouse to world-class court.

Spanning approximately 12,500 square feet, the single-level facility is organized as a sequence of performance spaces—from a double-height reception and retail area to strength and conditioning zones, turf training areas, and dedicated recovery rooms equipped with cold plunges, Normatec systems, and a sauna.

At the center, the regulation court anchors the experience. Floating wood flooring, LED lighting, and digital scoreboards create a professional-grade playing environment, while bold graphics and branded court markings reinforce The Program’s identity.
